In 2020 JET Engineering were approached by a key client to explore the options for additional completed product storage.
The site presented many challenges with the main issues arising from a lack of space.
JET Engineering management team presented a number of alternative suggestions backed up with drawings and cost analysis until the final location was agreed.

The client was assisted by JET Engineering management with obtaining planning consent for the project from the local authority.
Fabrication of the vessels commenced late 2020.
Construction of the new tank bund commenced in early 2021. The bund was coated with an epoxy resin on completion.
While the bund was in construction, the pipework design and detailing was commenced.

This involved approx. 1700mtrs of 100mmNB/80mmNB/50mmNB/25mmNB stainless pipework as the existing raw materials offloading point for the site needed relocating.
The project was a notifed CDM Project with JET Engineering undertaking the role of principal contractor.

The project was completed in mid 2021 and was under budget and on time. The completed works was commended by the client for not only the obvious success but the due to the lack of disruption caused to the ongoing production of the existing plant taking into account many different interfaces required.
